Wow, what a change! Planeswalker points are here to stay and it is interesting to see how people are going to change their habits when it comes to playing in FNM and other tournaments.
I was talking to a buddy of mine (Trevor) and he told me that one of the biggest changes may be that people will want to play out tournaments instead of x-2 drop. You no longer have to protect your rating. You get you points for playing, not just winning alone.
I personally am very excited about the change. I don't have to worry about (losing points) anymore. I can just concentrate on having fun and winning as much as I can. The only drawback it has for a guy like me is that I don't get to play as often as I would like because of the family life. But, it is still really cool to see the change.

I have been playing for a while but mostly off and on, I've been more of a collector than a hardcore tournament player. I was still pleasantly surprised with my point total though. I am currently a level 37 sorcerer with 5367 points.
For all of you magic players, check out the new system and leave a comment and let us know your level and what you think of the BIG CHANGE!

I think the change is better for the overall game of Magic. At least the way I understand it. People no longer have to worry about their rating when playing at a local FNM or casual event. In fact now people are rewarded for playing regardless of their record.
