Wolf Run Green

I cannot help but feel happy to see a green deck do well at a Star City event. I know the new Standard environment is still panning out but up until now, I felt if you were not playing Mono-Red or some flavor or blue you were not play a synergistic/good deck. Wolf Run Green is a typical midrange strategy; however it can go over the top of many blue based strategies.

The typical game plan is to ramp into must answer threats like Primeval Titan, Wurmcoil Engine, or Garruk Primal Hunter. If your opponent is able to answer these threats, switch into plan B. What is plan B you ask…well it involves the awesome new addition Kessig Wolf Run coupled with flying infect via Inkmoth Nexus.

With the ramp strategy, it can often lead to lethal infect damage with 1-2 activations of Kessig Wolf Run. Prime-Time Titan is still able to seal the deal by fetching Inkmoth Nexus and a Kessig Wolf Run. The deck was exciting to watch and I recommend you add it to your gauntlet in preparation of States. Below is the deck list. Good luck to everyone who plans to attend.
